STUDIO NO. 4
Installation, 2008

Studio No. 4 was a large-scale installation created within the artist's studio in Cambridge (UK), where she spent nine months as part of an art residency.

In Studio No. 4, a plethora of English and Macedonian words crawled across the studio walls, emerging from room details (e.g. electric sockets, pipes) and then disappearing into others (e.g. holes, nails, the fire alarm). On their way, they left large organic shapes, transforming the studio into a poetic novel.

The words were selected according to certain letters of the alphabet. Their size, combinations and context were carefully chosen and later performed by the artist in the soundtrack accompanying the installation.
