Verica Kovacevska and architect Carola Daldoss set up a pop-up shop in the Cabaret Voltaire.

The shop sold 11 unique design items for everyday use, reflecting both professions of artist and architect.

The pop-up also connected the artist and the architect with their customers, colleagues, and audience, and offered a shopping experience that was part theatre and part retail. The sale of the items covered the production costs of the work.

M11 Pop Up was part of Manifesta 11, which brought together artists and non-artists around the theme of work or “What do people do for money?”

​

The piece took place at a famous performance space, the Cabaret Voltaire, which was transformed into a temporary guildhall for artists during Manifesta 11.
