Future Nomads featured 12 artists holding letters spelling out “FUTURE NOMADS” in front of a live webcam.

​The webcam was mounted on a crane, overlooking the developing area of Europaallee, where the artists’ studios were situated. The performance lasted several minutes and was captured in a photograph taken by the webcam.

​

​​The work reflected on gentrification and its consequences and highlighted the increasingly nomadic existence of the contemporary artist today.

​

​​Future Nomads was created during a one-month residency at the Kunsthaus Aussersihl, Zurich.
