STUDIO NO. 4
Installation, 2008

Studio No. 4 was a large-scale installation created inside the artist's studio in Cambridge (UK), where she spent nine months as part of an art residency.

In Studio No. 4, a plethora of English and Macedonian words crawled all over the studio walls, emerging from room details (e.g. electric sockets, pipes) and then disappearing into other ones (e.g. holes, nails, the fire alarm). On their way they left large organic shapes, transforming the studio into a poetic novel.

The words were selected according to certain letters of the alphabeth. Their size, combination and context was carefully chosen and later performed by the artist in the soundtrack accompanying the installation.
