The Boat is Full (2016)
Zurich, Switzerland

In The Boat is Full the artist processed as many audience members as possible during a short time-frame. She asked questions relating to their personal information and delivered stamped cards with instructions to wait outside or to take a seat in the gallery.

Only a handful of audience members were chosen to stay inside. At the end of the performance they were formally welcomed by the artist, while the others watched through the gallery window.

The piece reflected on the current refugee crisis and the artist's own new status as a Swiss citizen.

The Boat is Full was part of LEGS Zürich, an eight-hour performance event at Corner College. Each artist had nine minutes for the performance and no breaks were allowed between each work.
